Zahra Dental Clinic SF: Shameli and Ghasedabadi To Meet In Final

The final of the Zahra Dental Clinic is set, with top seed Alireza Shameli and No.4 seed Sami Ghasedabadi set to meet in Wednesday’s finale at the Heydarnia Squash Complex in Tehran, Iran.

Shameli claimed the victory at the Commemoration of the Martyrs of the Iranian Navy Army last week, and remains unbeaten at the venue in six matches across the last ten days.

He defeated Sepehr Etemadpoor in a repeat of last week’s final, winning in four games with an 11-6, 11-5, 10-12, 11-8 scoreline in just under an hour, to book his place in the final once again.

Shameli will face No.4 seed Sami Ghasedabadi in the final, after he toppled the tournament’s No.2 seed, Mohammad Kashani, in a four game contest which feature two tie-breaks.

Ghasedabadi lost the first of those, which came in the second game, as Kashani levelled the contest, but a 12-10 win in the third gave the No.4 seed the momentum once again, and he was able to carry that through the fourth game as well to win in 37 minutes and book his place in the final.
