Willstrop and Salazar Withdraw from CIB PSA Black Ball Squash Open

England’s James Willstrop and Mexico’s Cesar Salazar have withdrawn from the upcoming CIB PSA Black Ball Squash Open.

Former World No.1 Willstrop misses out due to personal reasons, while Salazar, the World No.20, is currently self-isolating after coming into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Egypt’s Zahed Salem takes Willstrop’s spot as a 9/16 seed and receives a bye into the second round where he will face 2018 champion Karim Abdel Gawad in round two. Frenchman Baptiste Masotti replaces Salem as a 17/32 seed and will play India’s Vikram Malhotra in round one.

Shahjahan Khan comes into the draw and he will line up against Spain’s Iker Pajares Bernabeu.

Meanwhile, Scotland’s Alan Clyne takes Salazar’s spot as a 17/32 seed and he will play wildcard Ahmed Ismail.

Karim El Hammamy comes into the draw and he will take on Spanish veteran Borja Golan.

The men’s CIB PSA Black Ball Squash Open will take place between Friday March 19 – Thursday March 25 and will be shown live on SQUASHTV and the official Facebook page of the PSA World Tour (excluding Europe & Japan).
