Egyptian World No.59 Youssef Soliman overcame Germany’s Jens Schoor in the final of the Garavan’s West of Ireland Open to lift his fourth PSA World Tour title as three other tournaments came to an end over the weekend.

Soliman, the 20-year-old from Cairo, claimed wins over Ammar Altamimi, Geoffrey Demont and Mazen Gamal before overcoming World No.81 Jens Schoor 11-4, 7-11, 11-3, 11-9 at the final hurdle to take the plaudits.

There was also success for two other Egyptians over the weekend, with Rowan Elaraby and Amina Yousry triumphing at the Virginia Squash Racquets Association Richmond Open and Czech International Championship, respectively – with Yousry claiming her maiden Tour title.

Meanwhile, England’s World No.90 Adam Murrills played to his seeding at the BCS Russian Open, with the number one seed defeating Finnish qualifier Miko Aijanen to capture the third Tour crown of his career.
