18 April 2021

Gomez, the World No.83, then took on Swiss No.2 Nadia Pfister in the semi-finals, and got the better of her opponent in straight games. She won in 22 minutes, despite being 14 places below Pfister in the World Rankings.

The Spanish No.1 then came up against the tournament’s top seed in the final, Latvia’s Ineta Mackevica. She had to come from behind twice to take the victory, defeating the World No.56 in a 51-minute final to claim her first title on the PSA Tour.
