SRAM PSA 7: Tournament Preview

The last event to start this week on the Challenger Tour will be the seventh event of the SRAM PSA slate, with the SRAM PSA 7 beginning on Saturday 6 November, and running for four days.

Once again, like the two events in Malaysia last month, this Challenger 10 level tournament will be run with domestic entry restrictions, allowing only those based in Malaysia to feature in the event.

Ivan Yuen, who won both events in October, will again be the top seed for the men’s event, with the World No.55 facing competition from World No.83 Mohammad Syafiq Kamal.

Addeen Idrakie, Darren Rahul Pragasam, Ong Sai Hung, Wee Ming Hogk, Elvinn Keo and Amir Amirul will be the rest of the top eight seeds, with the latter being one of ten juniors in the field for the men’s event.

World No.43 Rachel Arnold will be the top seed for the women’s draw, with Aifa Azman, the woman that won both events in October, as her nearest competitor for the title.

Ooi Kah Yan, also a member of the world’s top 100, will be in action, with Yee Xin Ying, Chan Yiwen, Ainaa Amani, Aira Azman and Angie Ooi as the rest of the top eight seeds for the tournament.
