Rockhampton Open: Tournament Preview

The Rockhampton Open takes place at Scottvale Health Club in Kawana, Australia this weekend, with 16 players aiming for glory in the Challenger 3 level tournament.

The event, which begins on Friday and runs through to Sunday afternoon, is limited to domestic only participants, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

World No.126 Rhys Dowling will be the top seed for the tournament, with compatriot Nicholas Calvert and Malaysia’s Bryan Lim Tze Kang as his nearest competitors for the title.

Along with the Malaysian, Malta’s Kijan Sultana is the only other foreign player in the draw, which features 14 Australians aiming for glory on home soil.
