PSF-COMBAXX Sports Squash Championship: Tournament Preview

The Challenger Tour returns to Pakistan for the first time in six months, with the PSF-COMBAXX Sports Squash Championship beginning in Islamabad on Friday.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Challenger 10 level men’s tournament is being held with domestic restrictions on entrants, allowing only those based in the nation to participate.

Two non-Pakistanis will be in action in the tournament, with Canadian Darosham Khan and Sweden’s Zeeshan Khan both featuring in Islamabad.

World No.44 Tayyab Aslam will be the top seed for the tournament, which begins on Friday lunchtime at the Mushaf Squash Complex. Asim Khan and Amaad Fareed, both members of the top 100 in the World Rankings, will also be in action.

The likes of Nasir Iqbal, Farhan Zaman, Israr Ahmed, Farhan Mehboob and Zahir Shah make up the rest of the seeded players for the Challenger 10 tournament.
