PSA Moscow Tour 2: Titov Claims Another Win

9 August 2021

Vladislav Titov claimed his third consecutive victory on the Challenger Tour, with a win at the PSA Moscow Tour 2, coming through the entire tournament without dropping a single game.

The Russian No.1 had already won on home soil twice before in 2021, both at Squash Club Moscow, the venue for this weekend’s event as well, so he came into the event as the clear favourite.

The tournament’s top seed started off his campaign with a 3-0 win over Ivan Chentsov, before then downing No.5 seed Mikhail Skurikhin and No.4 seed Petr Smekhov to reach the final.

There, he came up against No.2 seed, and Ukrainian No.1, Valeriy Fedoruk, and after a whopping tie-break, Titov came out on top in the first game 18-16. He then took the second 13-11 on another tie-break, before securing the third game, and his third win of 2021.
