PSA Challenger Le Reve: Tournament Preview

The first European event of 2022 will be held in France, with the PSA Challenger Le Reve taking place from Friday, January 28 to Sunday, January 30 at the Squash Du Reve in Maxeville.

16 players, all hailing from European countries, will be attempting to claim their first titles of the season at the Challenger 3 level tournament, with half of the field playing on home soil in France.

Edwin Clain and Toufik Mekhalfi will be among the top four seeds, while Joshua Phinera will be the No.8 seed for the event. Juniors Laouenan Laoec, Brice Nicolas and Titouan Isambard, the latter of which being the wildcard for the event, will all be in action.

Welshman Emyr Evans will be the top seed for the tournament, and he will be the sole member of the world’s top 100 in action at Squash Du Reve this week. Switzerland’s Yannick Wilhelmi, Italian No.1 Yuri Furneti, Ondrej Vorlicek of the Czech Republic and Austria’s Lukas Windischberger make up the rest of the top eight seeds.
