Polskisquash Enjoy Open II: Poleshchuk Victorious Again

For the second time in as many months, Israeli No.1 Daniel Poleshchuk was victorious at the Enjoy Squash Club in Bielsko-Biala, as he claimed the title at the Polskisquash Enjoy Open Challenger 3 II this weekend.

The Israeli came into the tournament as the top seed, and having won four times at the Polish venue over the last twelve months, so he was the favourite to take another victory, and he did exactly that, coming through the field without dropping a game.

Poleshchuk started his campaign on Saturday morning with a convincing 13-minute performance against Polish wildcard Maciej Borkowski, before then getting the better of No.7 seed Jakub Gogol to make it through to the semi-finals of the competition.

In the last four, the World No.117 defeated No.5 seed Dariusz Filipowski to reach the final, where he cam up against Spain’s Marc Lopez for the second time in as many months. Poleshchuk won in straight games again to secure his second victory of the season, and his fifth in Poland in the last year.
