Swiss No.2 Reiko Peter remains on course to defend his title at the 2016 Pilatus Cup, PSA M5 tournament in Kriens on home soil after triumphing in an all-Swiss semi final against World No.146 Benjamin Fischer with an emphatic straight games victory.

The first game was all one-way traffic as Peter stormed to a one-game advantage for the loss of just three points. Fourth seed Fischer fought back though in the second but narrowly lost out before Peter pressed on to earn an 11-3, 11-8, 11-4 victory to reach his first final of 2016.

The other semi-final saw Australian second seed Joshua Larkin fight off a valiant effort from French qualifier Victor Crouin, who had already scalped two successive seeded players in the build up to the semi-final following victories over Christopher Binnie and Martin Svec.

Crouin took the first game 11-9 and had another upset in his sights before Larkin sparked into life, quashing any chances of a surprise defeat by taking three games without reply to set up a final meeting with Peter.
