Northland Open: Tournament Preview

10 June 2021

The Northland Open takes place this weekend at Whangarei Squash Club in New Zealand, with the Challenger 5 level tournament being held from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 June.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the event is being run with only those players currently based in New Zealand being allowed to enter. Australia’s Damon Macmillan is the only non-Kiwi in the 16-man draw.

The Chileshe brothers will be the top two seeds for the tournament, with both having been in good form over the several events played on New Zealand soil over the course of 2021 so far.

They will be seeded to meet in the final, with he likes of Sion Wiggin, Elijah Thomas and William Donnelly all aiming for their first titles of the year.

The event takes place from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 June at the Whangarei Squash Club in New Zealand. Follow the PSA Challenger Tour on Twitter and Facebook for daily updates from the event.
