The Malaysian Tour Squash V, PSA M5 & W5 main draws get underway on Wednesday July 29 with a number of marauding match-ups on show.

Addeen Idrakie will be the leading home hope in the Men’s event with the World No.129 still on the search for his maiden PSA World Tour title.

Kuala Lumpur-born Idrakie has achieved two quarter-final finishes so far on the Malaysian Tour this year but will the favourite to take the title this time around.

The 21-year-old faces Pakistan’s Muhammad Shoaib Hassan for a place in the quarter-final.

Ahmad Al-Saraj makes only his second PSA World Tour appearance this year after bowing out in the second round of the Sharm El Sheikh International Championship in May.

Wildcard Mohd Farez Izwan stands in Al-Saraj’s way in the first round in what looks to be an absorbing encounter, particularly as Izwan aims to impress on home-soil.

Valentino Bon Jovi Bong is a dark horse for the event and will be hoping that his home crowd can cheer him on to victory.

The World No.145 clashes with Henry Leung as the pair do battle for a place in the next round.

With two runner-up spots to her name so far on the 2015 Malaysian Tour, Vanessa Raj will be hoping that she can take that extra step this time.

Defeats to Milou van der Heijden and Vanessa Chu prevented the Malaysian from lifting her first PSA World Tour title but the number one seed has a big chance of breaking her duck at this event. She meets has a bye through to the next round.

Rachel Arnold will be out to stop her though and exact her revenge for her defeat to Raj in the semi-final of the Malaysian Tour Squash III.

The 19-year-old, who has appeared at every event on the Malaysian Tour this year, also receives a bye in the opening round.
