Liverpool Cricket Club Open: Tournament Preview

The first of two tournaments taking place on the Challenger Tour this week will be the Liverpool Cricket Club Open, with 16 players aiming to take home the title after three days of action in Aigburth, Liverpool.

The challenger 5 level men’s event will feature players from seven nationalities, with home nation England being the most represented. USA’s Spencer Lovejoy, the World No.66, will be the top seed for the tournament.

Scotland’s Rory Stewart will be his nearest competitor in terms of seeding, with the English quartet of Ben Coleman, Sam Todd, Robert Downer and Richie Fallows also among the seeds for the tournament.

New Zealand’s Lwamba and Temwa hileshe, the Welsh duo of Emyr Evans and Peter Creeds, Czech Republic’s Viktor Byrtus and Egypt’s Ibrahim Elkabbani will all be in action as the only representatives of their countries.
