The main draw of the Holtrand Open, PSA M10 event starts on Thursday January 21 with English World No.55 Ben Coleman heading up the list of title-contenders in Medicine Hat, Canada.

Coleman captured two PSA World Tour titles throughout a successful 2015 at the Life Time Fitness Atlanta Open and Wasatch Funds Salt Lake City Open which helped him move up to a career-best World No.54 ranking in December before falling down a place the following month.

The 24-year-old also reached the final of the London Open on his last PSA World Tour outing before losing to Australia’s Paul Coll in a dramatic five-game-thriller.

Coleman faces Matthew Serediak in the opening round as he kickstarts his attempts to lift a seventh PSA World Tour crown.

Shawn Delierre, meanwhile, represents Canada’s best hopes of having a home winner and the Montreal-born World No.57 has experience of lifting silverware on home soil with eight of his 15 PSA World Tour titles coming in his native country. The Canadian reached the semi-final stage at this event last year but has his eyes set on further glory this time around.

Delierre’s last PSA World Tour success came back in May 2015 at the Regatas Resistencia Open and he will be looking to put his mini title-drought behind him in Medicine Hat. Delierre begins his tournament against compatriot Nick Sachvie.

Reiko Peter is on the hunt for a second successive PSA World Tour title after his triumph in last month’s Airport Xmas Challenger and aims to continue his rise up the world rankings that currently sees him sit at 66th – a career-high.

Peter takes on Adam Murrills for a place in the quarter-final where he could come up against Angus Gillams who is also looking for a second consecutive PSA World Tour crown after he won the Sandman Hotels Open Penticton a week previously.

New Zealand’s Martin Knight is one of the most experienced players in the draw and reached the semi-final here last year before losing out to Muhd Asyraf Azan in five games. Knight has been without a PSA World Tour title since 2014 but a runner-up finish to Coleman in September’s Salt Lake City Open showcased his ability to reach the latter stages of an event. Knight goes head-to-head with Brian Byrne in round one.
