GHOSAL & Kandra WITHDRAW FROM GILLENMARKETS CANARY WHARF CLASSIC

8 March 2022

India’s Saurav Ghosal and Germany’s Raphael Kandra have withdrawn from the upcoming GillenMarkets Canary Wharf Squash Classic, which takes place from March 13-18.

World No.16 Ghosal, a Canary Wharf quarter-finalist in 2020, suffered an injury in his right abductor at the ongoing Optasia Championships, from which he has also withdrawn.

Kandra, meanwhile, has withdrawn due to a postivie COVID-19 test result.

Following Ghosal’s withdrawal, Spain’s Iker Pajares will play Switzerland’s Nicolas Mueller. England’s George Parker enters the draw and will play Egypt’s Youssef Ibrahim.

Meanwhile, Mohamed ElSherbini will now face England’s Patrick Rooney and Nathan Lake comes into the draw where he will take on France’s Gregoire Marche in round one.
