Egyptian World No.58 Mazen Gamal lifted his ninth career PSA World Tour title after beating compatriot Karim El Hammamy in the final of the PSA Valencia tournament in a 122 minute epic.

Saudi Arabia-born Gamal, who now lives in Cairo, dispatched Alex Garbi, Daniel Poleshchuk and Iker Pajares Bernabeu to earn his place in the final.

Meanwhile, El Hammamy came through a five-game affair with Baptiste Masotti in round one, before going on to defeat Aqeel Rehman and Shehab Essam to book his PSA M10 final berth.

World No.71 El Hammamy started on the front foot as he edged the opener 11-9, but Gamal came storming back to level, with the 30-year-old dropping just two points to restore parity to proceedings.

Gamal also had the upper hand in the third and fourth games as he closed out a 9-11, 11-2, 11-7, 11-5 victory to seal his second PSA World Tour title of 2016.
