Esporte Clube Pinheiros Open: Tournament Preview

The first of four tournaments on the Challenger Tour this week will be the Esporte Clube Pinheiros Open, which will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil from Thursday, May 12 to Sunday, May 15.

The Challenger 5 level tournament will feature players from seven nationalities, the majority of those coming from the continent of South America. The Brazilian duo of Guilherme Melo and Diego Gobbi will be the top two seeds on home soil this week.

They will be joined in the top eight seeds by the Guatemalan trio of Josue and Alejandro Enqiruez, and Ricardo Toscano, along with Paraguayan No.1 Francesco Marcantonio, Colombia’s Andres Herrera and another Brazilian, in Pedro Mometto.
