Elan Vital Open: Tournament Preview

Monchengladbach, Germany plays host to the PSA Challenger Tour this week, with the Challenger 5 level Elan Vital Open being played from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 August.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Challenger 5 level tournament is being played with regional entry restrictions, meaning only those currently based in Europe have been permitted to play in the event.

Six nationalities are represented in the draw, with five of those being part of the top eight seeds as well. Frenchman Sebastien Bonmalais will headline the draw, with Germany’s Yannik Omlor, Czech Republic’s Ondrej Uherka and compatriot Toufik Mekhalfi all in action.

The Swiss trio of Cedric Kuchen, Jakob Kanel and David Bernet are all featuring, along with Austria’s Jakob Dirnberger and Lukas Windischberger, and Liechtenstein’s David Maier.
