DHA Islamabad International Squash Championship: Tournament Preview

The second event on Tour this week is the DHA Islamabad International Squash Championship, which takes place from Saturday, March 26 to Wednesday, March 30 at the JFC Squash Courts in the Pakistani city.

The Challenger 10 level men’s event will feature 24 players hailing from six different nations, with the majority of the field coming from host country Pakistan. The nation’s No.2, Asim Khan, will be the top seed for the tournament.

Qatar’s Syed Azlan Amjad and the Malaysian duo of Mohammad Syafiq Kamal and Addeen Idrakie make u the rest of the top four seeds, while the Egyptian pairing of Kalhed Labib and Yassin Elshafei, the latter coming off the back of a victory in Bangladesh earlier this week, will also be in action.

Iranian No.1 Alireza Shameli, a man who already has two wins to his name in 2022, will be in the field, along with Frenchman Edwin Clain, who will be the only European in the 24-strong draw for the tournament.
