Aitken Withdraws from RMCLUB Women’s Open Quarter Finals

Ahead of the quarter finals of the RMCLUB Women’s Open – Presented by Expression Networks, Scotland’s Lisa Aitken has had to withdraw through illness.

The Scot, who was the No.4 seed for the tournament, is unable to play her last eight match against No.6 seed Enora Villard, meaning the Frenchwoman receives a walkover through to the semi-finals of the Challenger 30 level competition.

The timings of the other three women’s matches remain unchanged, with Farida Mohamed and Marie Stephan kicking things off at 12:00 (GMT+4). The winner of that match will face either England’s Julianne Courtice or Frenchwoman. Melissa Alves.

Villard will now face either World No.15, and the tournament’s top seed, Tinne Gilis, or fellow Frenchwoman Coline Aumard in the semi-finals of the event.
