Victor Crouin has won several Tour titles, and broke into the world's top ten for the first time in 2022.

In the majority of main draws he reached during the first few years of his career, the Frenchman was able to make it to at least the last eight, with his first victory coming in 2017. He won the Open International d’Angers, after beating Adam Murrills in the final. His final event of the year also brought a victory, with Crouin winning the Ocean Blue Logistics Grimsby & Cleethorpes Open.

That started a consistent run of reaching at least the quarter-finals in 12 of his next 13 events, including victories at the Hasta La Vista Open and the Aston and Fincher Sutton Coldfield International, both coming in 2018.

Whilst studying at Harvard University, Crouin went from strength to strength on the Tour, winning four times in five events in 2019, with three of those coming on Australian soil, including the national open. He won the Mulgrave Country Club Victorian Open Championships, Australian Open and Tasmanian Open. He then also won the CenterState Bank Marietta Open in the same year.

The Frenchman then broke through on to the PSA World Tour by making it through to the last 16 of the CIB Egyptian Open. A fifth win of 2019 followed that, as he was victorious at the Dominican Squash Open. Crouin also won his last tournament of 2020, beating compatriot Lucas Serme in the final of the PSA Bordeaux Nord.

That winning form continued into the start of 2021, with the Frenchman successful twice more on home soil, victorious at the PSA Challenger 10 Le Reve Nancy and the Cognac Open to kick off his year.

It would be a year that would feature five victories in total, including three Challenger 20 level crowns. Crouin was the victor at the Squash on Fire Open, where he defeated former World No.1 James Willstrop in the final, before then going on to win the South State Bank Marietta Open and the HSC Open - Presented By Assurance Financial.

Thanks to those results, along with reaching the semi-finals of the Bronze level Malaysian Open Squash Championships in December, the Frenchman moved inside the top 20 in the World Rankings for the first time in his career for the start of 2022.

He defeated new World No.1 Paul Coll en route to the quarter finals of the GillenMarkets Canary Wharf Classic, before then also making it to the last eight of the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions. Crouin’s last outing of the season came in Doha, where he won the Challenger 30 level QSF 4 to move to a career-high World No.18 at the end of the 2021-2022 campaign. Crouin then went on to secure the Gold Medal in the Men’s Singles at the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama, defeating compatriot Gregoire Marche in the final.

The Frenchman started the 2022-2023 campaign in a rich vein of form by making the finals of his first three tournaments. He lost out in the finals of the CIB Zed Squash Open, QTerminals Qatar Classic before winning the Open de France de Squash in front of a raucous home crowd. The title was his biggest to date, and his first Bronze level crown.

Thanks to that victory, he moved into the world’s top ten for the first time in his career. Crouin also won the Life Time Chicago Open, a Challenger 30 level event, before making the semis of the Robertson Lodges New Zealand Open. He finished 2022 with quarter final appearances at the MARIGOLD Singapore Squash Open and the Everbright Securities International Hong Kong Squash Open.

After also making the quarter finals in New York, Crouin then made back-to-back finals. He finished runner-up at the Oxford Properties Canadian Men’s Open, before winning his second Bronze title of the season, taking home the Squash On Fire Open trophy. The Frenchman then made the last four at the British Open and the El Gouna International, helping him to qualify for the season-ending CIB PSA World Tour Finals for the first time.
