Tsz Kwan Lau is one of several Hong Kong players on Tour, and he has gone on to break into the world's top 50 in recent times, along with taking a number of titles over his career.

Lau made his debut on Tour in 2013, and made the quarter-finals of the first main draw he made it into, at the NT Open a couple of years later. He did not have to wait much longer for his first victory, with that coming at the Amir Kabir Open in 2016, after he beat Bernat Jaume in the final.

The Hong Konger then made a string of quarter-final and semi-final appearances over the next twelve months, before claiming another title at the Pacific Toyota Cairns Squash International. He then won the NT Open in 2018, after reaching the final of the Malaysian Squash Tour IV a couple of months earlier.

Two more runners-up finishes came at the Linear Logistics Bankers Hall Club Pro Am and the Life Time Atlanta Open in 2019, before he claimed his fourth professional title at the Perrier Squash Challenger Cup, beating Chi Him Wong in the final.

He also reached the quarter finals of the Crawford Fund Management LLC Open and HKFC PSA International Squash Open in the latter half of the year, before also making the same stage of the 14th CNS International Squash Championship, in one of just two appearances on Tour in a truncated 2020.

Lau returned to the Tour in early 2021, after the Tour’s enforced suspension due to COVID-19, and reached the final of both the Chairman Cup and Chairman Cup 2, before also making the semis of the Hong Kong Football Club PSA. He then made his debuts at the PSA World Championships an CIB Egyptian Open, before returning to the Challenger Tour, where he made another three semi-final appearances before the end of the calendar year, making the last four at the Heroes Graz Open, Capra Baerum Open and QSF 4.

Lau started 2022 strongly, with another semi-final appearance, this time at the Oxford Properties Canadian Open - Presented by AirSprint Aviation. He also reached the last eight at the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions Challenger, before going on to win twice in Australia.

The Hongkonger was victorious in back-to-back events at the Volkswagen Bega Open and the City of Devonport Tasmanian Open, before then making the last eight of the Cleveland Skating Club Open. He then reached the last 16 of a major for the first time, doing so on home soil at the Everbright Securities International hong Kong Squash Open, which catapulted him into the world’s top 50 for the first time.

A quarter final appearance at the Squash On Fire Open was then followed by two more last eight results on the Challenger Tour. He then reached the second round of the British Open on his way to hitting a career-high of World No.41 in June 2023.
