Tom Walsh is a young Englishman on the cusp of breaking into the world’s top 100 for the first time in his career, having won his first two tournaments win the 2021-2022 season.

Walsh made his debut on Tour in 2016 and featured in the qualifying rounds of the AJ Bell PSA World Championships a year later. He made his first semi-final on Tour at the Harneys BVI Squash Championships in 2018, and followed sit up with another last four appearance at the 6th Open Squash Provence Chateau-Arnoux.

More semi-finals came in 2019, with the Englishman making the last four of the China Suqian International Squash Classic and the Haining Squash Open, but it was not until after the Tour’s suspension for COVID-19 that Walsh made it into his first final.

He had a string of last eight and last four results throughout 2021, but he eventually got into the winner’s circle on Tour with a victory at the Exeter Golf and Country Club Open at the end of the year. Walsh followed that with a victory on his first appearance of 2022, at the Kinetic 3k Challenger Presented by Sundip Murthy.
