Nadine Shahin is a hard-hitting Egyptian whose game is tough to beat, and she has been a fixture of the world's top 25 for several years now.

The youngster had a stunning 2014, winning five Tour titles to cement her position as one to watch in the coming years. Her first title was at the Geneva Open in March of that year where she romped to the title despite starting the event as an unseeded competitor.

The Egyptian then won four out of the next five events that she appeared at and was rewarded with a place in the world's top 40 for the first time in January 2015. She racked up four consecutive quarter-final finishes at higher-ranked events to ensure that her progress on the PSA World Tour continued apace.

Shahin’s game continued to go from strength-to-strength as she broke into the world’s top 30 for the first time in February 2017 after a handful of quarter and semi-final finishes. She then won two of her first three tournaments in 2018. She won the Edinburgh Sports Club Open, beating Julianne Courtice in the final, before she then defeated Misaki Kobayashi in the final of the Winnipeg Winter Club Women’s Open.

The Egyptian then went on to reach the semi finals of the Queen City Open later in the year, as well as reaching the last four of the Nash Cup. Her final tournament of the calendar year saw her reach the final of the Pakistan Open, where she was beaten by Yathreb Adel.

Shahin went on to reach the quarter finals in three of hr first four tournaments in 2019. She did so at the Bahl and Gaynor Cincinnati Cup, J Warren Young Memorial Texas Open and the Macau Open, before then reaching the last 16 of the El Gouna International.

The young Egyptian broke into the top 20 in the World Rankings for the first time in her fledgling career during the 2019-2020 campaign after consistently reaching the last 16 of big tournaments. She did so at the Open de France - Nantes, Windy City Open and Black Ball Women’s Open, as well as the PSA Bronze level Cleveland Classic.

Shahin started the season with a quarter-final appearance at the J.P. Morgan China Squash Open, with her best result of the season coming at the Detroit Pro Classic, where she reached the last four of the Challenger 30 level tournament. Shahin then went on a run of reaching the last 16 at six consecutive events, including the Windy City Open presented by the Walter Family, and both editions of the CIB Black Ball Squash Open in 2020.

That trend continued into the start of 2021, as she also reached the third round of the CIB PSA Black Ball Squash Open, before then reaching a maiden Platinum quarter final, as she made the last eight at the Allam British Open. Shahin also reached the last eight of the Malaysian Open Squash Championships in December of that year.

The Egyptian made the last 16 of the Windy City Open presented by the Walter Family once again, before making it into the semi-finalists of the Carol Weymuller Open, where she was defeated by eventual champion Rowan Elaraby. A quarter final appearance came at the 2022-2023 season-opener, the CIB Zed Squash Open, along with also making the last eight at the Malaysian Open Squash Championships.

Shahin’s best result in the early part of 2023 saw her make the quarter finals of the Squash On Fire Open. She also made the last 16 of the DAC Pro Squash Classic, Black Ball Squash Open and Manchester Open, before doing so at the El Gouna International, her final event of the campaign.
