Milnay Louw has cemented herself as South Africa’s No.2 in recent years, and has consistently been inside the top 100 of he World Rankings since 2014.
She reached the last eight in just her third event on Tour, doing so at the Wells & Young Wimbledon Open in 2012. Quarter-final appearance also followed at the Swiss Open and the Assore Central Gauteng Open before three straight semi-final results, at the New South Wales Open, North Coast Open and the Queensland Open.
Louw reached her first final later that year, but lost out to Lisa Camilleri in the final of the Caboolture Open. Back on home soil in 2014, she reached the last four of the Gauteng Open for a second straight year before making the same stage of the Keith Grainger Memorial UCT Open Squash Championship.
The South African continued her solid form through the next few years, reaching 10 finals. She made it to the final of the Gauteng Open and the Keith Grainger Memorial both on two occasions, along with making the same stage of the Queensland Open, Pacific Toyota Cairns Squash International, Malaysian Open and Bermuda Open among others.
Three more runners-up finishes came in quick succession on home soil in 2019, as Louw made it to the final of the Johannesburg Open, Keith Grainger Memorial UCT Squash Open Championships and the Growthpoint S.A. Open, but was unable to get over the line.
