Michael McCue is one of several Canadians inside the top 100 in the World Rankings, and has been on Tour since 2010.

He made three consecutive quarter-finals in 2012, at the British Virgin Islands Open Squash Championships, National Squash Academy Open and the Costa Rica Open de Squash, but it was another three years before the Canadian made it to a final.

That came at the MAA Invitational in 2015, and was followed quickly bu further runner-up finishes at the Black Knight Canada White Oaks Court Classic, Ottawa Goodlife Open and the Tournoi Invitation du Club Sportif MAA at the beginning of the following year.

He then made the semi-finals of the Cleveland Skating Club Open and the Tree Brewing Kelowna Open a year later, before securing his first PSA title in 2018. He lifted the Mount Royal University Open title after defeating Kyle Finch in the final.

McCue reached a string of semi-finals throughout the rest of 2018, including making the last four at the Big Head Wines White Oaks Court Classic, Airport Squash & Fitness Xmas Challenger and the Securian Open, with another runners-up finish at the First Block Capital Jericho Open.

The Canadian secured a second career title in 2019, as he won the Kiva Club Open. That was followed with runners-up finishes at the Wakfeidl PSA and the Securian Open, before he made the quarters of the Assante Wealth Management Carter Classic and the Qualico Manitoba Open in 2020.
