Marina Stefanoni is one of the brightest prospects from the USA, who as a teenager, is pushing to break into the top 50 of the World Rankings.

She made he quarter-finals in her first appearance on the Tour, at the Bitar Cosmetics - Play Squash Women’s Open in 2016, before reaching the same stage at the Masters School Open. Stefanoni then made her first semi-final at the E.M. Noll Classic in 2018, and repeated that feat at the Richmond Open later that year.

The American took her first victory on Tour in 2019, and went on to win four of her next five tournaments. She tasted success at the Bermuda Ope, Bourbon Trail Event No.4, Harneys BVI Squash Open and the Aspin Cup, with a quarter-final appearance at the Open International des Volcans in that run as well.

Stefanoni broke into the top 60 of the World Rankings for the first time in the early part of 2020, following a quarter-final appearance at the E.M. Noll Classic. She recorded a last 16 appearance at the Racquet Club Pro-Series in her last event of the year, which came prior to the Tour’s six-month suspension due to COVID-19.

In her first event of 2021, Stefanoni made it into the semis of the Life Time City Centre Women’s International Squash Open, before featuring in the PSA World Championships for the first time in her career. She also played at the Allam British Open and made the second round of a major for the first time at the U.S. Open presented by Truist. Stefanoni also reached the semis of the Nash Cup in the latter part of the year.
