Spain’s Edmon Lopez first featured on the PSA Tour in 2013, and has recently broke into the top 50 in the World Rankings for the first time.

The Spaniard’s first semi-final appearance came on home soil at the PSA Valencia Open in 2014, and he made the same stage of the Belfast Open in Northern Ireland a year later. He had to wait until 2016 for his first final, before losing three on the spin, at the Raanana Squash Centre 30th Anniversary Festival, Madeira International Squash Tournament and Otters International JSW ISC.

A year later, and Lopez finally broke the title duck, winning the Hasta La Vista Open. He was victorious twice more that year, winning both the Union National Bank ISC UNB 5th UAE Open Squash Championships and the IMET PSA Open, before three more wins came in 2018.

After featuring at the World Championships for the first time in December 2017, Lopez went on to secure Challenger Tour wins at the Cronimet Open, Pilatus Indoors - Sekisui Open and the PSA Valencia Open, with a further victory coming at the Springfield Scottish Squash Open in 2019.

That same year, he made the second round of a major tournament on the PSA World Tour for the first time, doing so at the El Gouna International Squash Open, before also making the last 32 at the PSA Men’s World Championships in Qatar. His performances saw him chosen for the Spanish squad for the WSF Men’s World Team Squash Championships. Lopez broke into the top 50 of the World Rankings in the early part of 2020.
