Daniel Mekbib made his debut in 2008, and has gone on to become the leading Czech male player on the Tour.

His first semi-final came six years after his debut, at the Cobendai Castellana Squash Open in 2014, but he had to wait a further three years after that before getting to a first final. That came at the Conseil General du Gard Ville de Nimes Open du Gard in 2017, where he lost out to Jens Schoor.

Mekbib broke inside the top 100 in the World Rankings the year after, following another run of good performances, as he claimed his first two titles in 2018. He won the Guilfoyle Financial PSA Squash Classic and the Big Head Wines White Oaks Court Classic.

A string of semi-final appearances came through the early part of 2019, before Mekbib went on to win three more times to move inside the top 75 in the World Rankings. The Czech No.1 was victorious at the Medicine Hat Open and the IMET Open, before winning the Guilfoyle Classic for a second time in 2020.

He also reached the final of the Austrian Open at the end of that year, before making a string of quarter finals across the course of 2021, including at the Czech Open. His lone semi-final result of the year came at the Nash Cup, where he was defeated by the eventual winner, Frenchman Auguste Dussourd.
