Curtis Malik is another young English talent working their way up the rankings, with siblings Torrie, Perry, Bailey and Heston also on the rise.

Malik first made the main draw of a PSA event at the Aston and Fincher Sutton Coldfield International, and he went on to reach his first semi-final the next year at the Falcon PSA Squash Cup Open. He also made it to the last four of the Medicine Hat Open that year as well.

After a truncated 2020, Malik returned to the PSA in 2021, making the semis of the Bexley Open. He then reached his first final on tour later that year, losing out to Rui Soares in the final of the Hit and Run Sport Challenger, but he would not have to wait much longer before he took his first victory.

The Englishman claimed that maiden crown at the Holmes Naden Prestbury Squash Open, beating Charlie Lee in the final in straight games. He then went on to win twice more before the end of the year, victorious at both the Commercial Water Solutions Grange Challenger and the Colin Payne Kent Open sponsored by 501 Entertainment. Those wins pushed him into the top 100 of the PSA World Rankings for the first time at the start of 2022.
