Angus Gillams joined the PSA World Tour in 2012. The Englishman was made to wait three years until he made his first World Tour final appearance and then he reached four in a row before going onto clinch his maiden Tour title later on in the year at the Madison Open where he downed Anthony Graham over three games in the final.

More title success soon followed for Gillams as he claimed victory over Nathan Lake in an all-English final at the Sandman Hotels Open Penticton after not dropping a game throughout the tournament. This saw Gillams leap 48 places on the World Rankings from the year before.

Gillams continued his fine form in 2016 with victory over New Zealand’s Martin Knight in the final of the JBM Patrol Spring Classic and followed this up with victory at the PSA Angers tournament where he overturned a one-game deficit to capture his third PSA World Tour title of that year.

Two more runner-up finishes ensued in 2016 both at the Christchurch Open and Florida Open. However in 2017, Gillams was back to winning titles with victory at the Tour De Las Americas Decker Camiones 2DO Mar Del Plata Open.
