Born in 2007, Amina Orfi is one of the youngest players on Tour, but she has already made waves in the squash world, as a World Junior Champion and PSA Tour winner, along with being inside the world’s top 50.

Orfi claimed the World Junior Championship crown in the summer of 2022 at the age of just 15, becoming the second youngest woman to ever win the trophy, behind the great Nour El Sherbini. She followed that by making her Tour debut at the CIB Egyptian Open as a wildcard.

Her first three Challenger Tour events were won, with Orfi being unseeded for all of them. She claimed the victory at the 4th HCL SRFI Indian Tour - Jodhpur Leg for her maiden Tour trophy, before then winning the Sutton Coldfield International, and returning to the Indian Tour to win in Delhi as well.

After winning the wildcard challenge to get into the Squash On Fire Open, Orfi then took down several seeds to reach the final of the Bronze level competition, finishing runner-up to Tinne Gilis. She then made the third round of the PSA World Championships, becoming the youngest player to ever make the last 16 of the sport’s premiere tournament. All this came within twelve months, and she moved from outside the world’s top 400 to hitting a career-high of World No.43 in June 2023.
