Weekend RoundUp: Steinmann Takes City of Greater Shepparton International Title

Switzerland’s World No.84 Dimitri Steinmann claimed his third PSA title over the weekend as he took the plaudits in Australia at the City of Greater Shepparton International tournament.

Steinmann faced tough competition for the trophy as he came up against number two seed New Zealand’s Evan Williams – who had not dropped a game en route to the final.

However, the 21-year-old number one seed looked comfortable as he came from one game down to defeat Williams 3-11, 11-9, 11-5, 11-7 in 59 minutes in the final.

The win marks Steinmann’s first PSA title since 2017 when he claimed back-to-back titles at the Tarra Volkswagen Bega Open and North Coast Open.
