Weekend Roundup: El Hammamy wins second title in as many weeks

Hania El Hammamy has won her second PSA title of the year, as she took victory at the Bahl and Gaynor Cincinnati Cup over the weekend.

The Egyptian won the Edinburgh Sports Club Open last week, and has become the first player to win two PSA titles in 2019. She also won her age category at the British Junior Championships in January.

In Cincinnati, El Hammamy won four matches in four days, without conceding a game, culminating in a victory over Victoria Lust in the final.

Elsewhere, Leonel Cardenas won the fourth PSA title of his career, as he beat Tsz Kwan Lau in the final of the Linear Logistics Bankers Hall Club Pro Am in Calgary.

The Mexican beat the World No.112 in four games to take him the PSA Tour 10 trophy.

At the Carter Classic in Toronto, No.1 seed Baptiste Masotti was the only seeded player to make it through to the semi finals.

He showed why he was the No.1 seed, to take the title, after beating Jaymie Haycocks in the semis, before overcoming Mario Yanez in the final in three games.
