Weekend RoundUp: Alsarraj Lifts Hampshire Open Title

Jordan’s World No.92 Mohammad Alsarraj lifted his sixth PSA World Tour title over the weekend as he claimed the Hampshire Open title.

The 19-year-old battled back from 2-1 down in the final against number three seed Denmark’s Kristian Frost – who knocked out top seed England’s Jaymie Haycocks in the semi-finals – as he won by a 5-11, 11-9, 6-11, 11-7, 11-6 scoreline in 66 minutes to lift the PSA M5 title.

Number two seed Alsarraj – who is Jordan’s highest ranked player on the PSA World Tour – was in strong form throughout the week as he saw off Scottish qualifier Kevin Moran, England’s Robert Downer and Mark Fuller en route to the final to claim his second successive title, after winning the Prague Open at the end of last year.
