Squash On Fire Open: Preview & How To Watch Live

The opening round of the Squash On Fire Open 2023 gets underway from the Squash On Fire Club in Washington D.C, USA, with 16 matches taking place across two courts. Play from the PSA World Tour Bronze event gets underway at 12:00 (GMT-5).

Two USA v Hong Kong battles will take place on the opening day as Chicago-based Haley Mendez gets the action underway as she takes on Hong Kong’s Tsz-Wing Tong for a place in the last 16, whilst later in the round Timothy Brownell faces Henry Leung.

Canada’s Danielle Letourneau will return to action for the first time since the El Gouna International as she faces USA’s Marina Stefanoni. Letourneau suffered an injury at the end of last season and os only just now ready to return to competitive action.

Former World No.1 James Willstrop will take on the event wildcard Timothy Lasusa at 18:15 who secured the spot after winning a wildcard playoff earlier in the month. Willstrop reached the quarter finals of the last years event but lost out 3-1 to the eventual runner-up Joel Makin.
