Qualifier Chadwick Into Irish Open Final

English World No.200 Rachael Chadwick, the 26 year old from Chester, will compete in her first ever PSA World Tour final after upsetting the seedlings to down number four seeded compatriot Alison Thomson 3-1 to move into the final of the 2016 GillenMarkets Irish Squash Open.

After coming through qualification to secure a place in the main draw Chadwick defeated number two seed Alexandra Fuller and number six seed Anna Klimundova before coming through against Thomson in a thrilling encounter that saw her fight back from behind the in the opening game, and despite dropping the third, play commanding squash that will boost her hopes of sealing a maiden Tour title.

Chadwick will face top seeded Millie Tomlinson in the final after the World No.48 dispatched Georgina Kennedy 3-0 courtesy of a high-paced attack that her opponent failed to cope with.
