Open de France Day 1: How To Watch Live

The squash just keeps on coming on the PSA World Tour. Less than 24 hours after the South Western Women’s Open came to its conclusion, the Open de France de Squash gets underway in Nantes, and we have the best-of-three format in place up to and including the quarter finals.

The PSA World Tour Bronze level event is taking place from September 12-17 across two venues in the French city, and all the side court action will be LIVE to watch on SQUASHTV on the opening day from 12:00 (GMT+2). Glass court action from Hangar 24 will follow on at 19:30 (GMT+2), also on SQUASHTV.

One of four wildcards for the tournament, Frenchwoman Ana Munos, will get things underway on Court 6 at La Maison du Squash at 12:00, when she faces Japanese No.1 Satomi Watanabe. Court 5 will see Swiss No.2 Nadia Pfister take on young Egyptian Nour Aboulmakarim for a place in the last 16.

The other three wildcards will also be in action on Court 6 throughout the day. Elise Romba will play Spanish No.1 Cristina Gomez in the women’s event, while Benjamin Aubert and Edwin Clain will take on England’s Declan James and Mexican Leonel Cardenas, respectively.

Elsewhere, the English trio of Nick Wall, Mille Tomlinson and Charlie Lee will be on consecutively on Court 5, and will face Egypt’s Yahya Elnawasany, German No.1 Saskia Beinhard and Spaniard Bernat Jaume in their respective opening day contests.

The glass court action then starts at 19:30, with an all Egyptian affair between Salma Eltayeb and Kenzy Ayman, before Frenchman Auguste Dussourd takes on Scotland’s Rory Stewart in the last match of the day’s play.
