New Zealand Open 2022 – Day Two: How To Watch Live

The Barfoot & Thompson and Robertson Lodges New Zealand Open events continue today as round two commences from Tauranga, New Zealand.

Sixteen matches will be split equally across two glass courts at the Trustpower Baypark Arena (which will be streamed live on SQUASH TV) and the Devoy Squash & Fitness Centre (which will be streamed on psaworldtour.com).

Home favourites Paul Coll and Joelle King will open their New Zealand Open campaigns tonight as they face USA’s Timothy Brownell and Jessica Turnbull respectively. They will be determined to start well in the first World Tour tournament on home soil for many years. They are both up against fellow Nations Cup competitors who have spent time on the Trustpower Baypark Arena glass court so may prove to be tricky customers.

Nations Cup winners Mohamed ElShorbagy and Sarah-Jane Perry will also open their New Zealand Open accounts as they look to continue their momentum. ElShorbagy will be up against fellow Englishman Charlie Lee, who overcame Adeen Idrakie in confident style in round one. Perry will play Hong Kong’s Tomato Ho in her opener.

Plenty more exciting match ups are set for day two in Tauranga, including both Belgian sisters, Nele and Tinne Gilis as they face Tsz-Wing Tong and Olivia Clyne respectively. An all-British battle between No.6 seed Adrian Waller and Greg Lobban is sure to excite the knowledgeable New Zealand crowd. Whereas more home action comes from women’s wildcard Kaitlyn Watts who, after receiving an unexpected bye in round one, will play Wales Tesni Evans for a spot in the quarter finals.
