MARIGOLD Singapore Squash Open 2022: Day One – How To Watch Live

15 November 2022

The MARIGOLD Singapore Squash Open 2022 gets underway today with glass court action coming from the OCBC Arena and side court play taking place at Kallang ActiveSG Squash Centre. The event will run from November 15 – 20.

16 matches feature in round one including a World Tour return for Malaysia’s former World No.5 Low Wee Wern, who makes a return to action for the first time since the 2020/21 PSA World Championships in July 2021. She will be up first on day one against Egypt’s Nadine Shahin at 12:00(GMT+8).

A cracker of a mens match is up next as Wee Wern’s compatriot and Malaysian No.1, Eain Yow Ng, will be ups against PSA World Tour veteran, Saurav Ghosal. The pair have never met before on the PSA World Tour but both possess weapons to hurt each other in what will surely be a close affair.

There is plenty of home interest on day one at the OBC Arena, starting with 16-year-old PSA debutant Leia Lee Zi Fang. The Singapore junior will be up against Wales Emily Whitlock at 17:00 in her first ever PSA match. Au Yeong Wai Yhann will face Hollie Naughton in the penultimate match of the evening’s play as she looks to score an upset against the Commonwealth Games Silver medalist.

The final match of the day’s play will be between event wildcard Samuel Kang, who takes on Germany’s Raphael Kandra in round one. The World No.242 will feature in World Tour action for the first time in his career as he looks to delight the home crowd with a win over the German National Champion.

Glass court action from the MARIGOLD Singapore Squash Open will be streamed live on SQUASHTV. Stay up to date with anything related to the event by following the PSA on TwitterFacebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. The live scores will also be available here.
