KHAN WINS ALL-AMERICAN FINAL IN CHATTANOOGA

7 January 2019

Faraz Khan claimed the first PSA Tour title of his career after defeating compatriot Cole Becker in the final of the Bourbon Trail Event No.1.

The American had to dig deep to take the victory, coming from 2-1 behind in the final, before winning the final two games 11-3 and 13-11 to take the title in 55 minutes.

To reach the final, Khan had to overcome two Pakistani seeds, in No.8 seed Kashif Asaf and No.5 Syed Hamzah Shah Bukhari.

Becker was the only unseeded player to make it through to the quarter-finals, having beaten the No.1 seed David Baillargeon in the first round.

He then beat the No.6 seed Lewis Doughty and No.4 seed Spencer Lovejoy on his way to the final in Chattanooga.

However, Khan proved to be too much for his compatriot in the final, with the World No.126 winning out in the first event of the year.
