Khafagy Captures Hamilton Open Title

Egypt’s World No.58 Malak Khafagy is the 2023 Hamilton Open champion after she overcame compatriot Haya Ali by a 3-0 scoreline at The Hamilton Club of Lancaster to win the PSA Challenger Tour 20 event.

Khafagy and Ali were meeting for the third time on the PSA Tour, with Ali winning both of their previous encounters, both by a 3-1 margin.

However, this time around it was Khafagy who ended up on the winning side, as she put in a phenomenal performance to get the better of her opponent, prevailing 11-7, 11-4, 11-5 in 21 minutes.

The win sees Khafagy pick up the fourth – and biggest – PSA Tour title of her career and she will next line up at the Ace Malaysia Squash Cup between November 6-10.
