Joelle King Rises To World No.4; Eain Yow Ng Returns To Top 20

New Zealand’s Joelle King has risen to World No.4 in the latest PSA World Rankings, while Eain Yow Ng has climbed back into the top 20 in the men’s rankings.

King, who claimed back-to-back titles after landing the Barfoot & Thompson New Zealand Open and the MARIGOLD Singapore Open, is back into fourth – one place behind her career-best of World No.3.

Sabrina Sobhy, who lost out to King in the semi-finals of the Singapore Open over the weekend, has climbed three places to World No.15 after an excellent display in Singapore, where she defeated World No.8 Sarah-Jane Perry in the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, Malaysian duo Aifa Azman and Rachel Arnold have moved up from World No.24 to World No.21 and from World No.28 to World No.26, respectively.

The PSA World Rankings Women’s top 20

In the men’s World Rankings, Ng has risen four places to World No.20 following an impressive run in the Singapore Open.

The Malaysian No.1 claimed the scalp of World No.2 Paul Coll in the second round before losing out to Joel Makin in the quarter-finals.

Saurav Ghosal, who lost out to Ng in the opening round of the Singapore Open, has moved up one place to World No.15.

Elsewhere, Mohamed ElSherbini has moved up two places to World No.29, England’s Nathan Lake rises from World No.38 to World No.34 and Aly Abou Eleinen jumps from World No.48 to World No.43.
