Elias Rises Back to No.4 in PSA Men’s World Rankings
Diego Elias has moved back up to a joint career-high ranking of World No.4 following his run to the semi-finals of the CIB Egyptian Open last week.
Here’s our look at the most notable men’s movers of the week, as of Monday September 26.
Diego Elias
New Ranking: No.4
Previous Ranking: No.5
Elias improved on his quarter-final finish at the QTerminals Qatar Classic earlier this month with his first semi-final finish of the season before he eventually bowed out to World No.2 Paul Coll in Egypt.
The Peruvian secured wins over Sebastien Bonmalais, Declan James and Marwan ElShorbagy en route to the last four of the PSA World Tour Platinum event and that has seen him leapfrog Marwan’s older brother – Qatar Classic champion Mohamed – to return to No.4.
