Carol Weymuller Open 2024 – Day Two: How to Watch Live

26 January 2024

The top eight seeds enter the fray on day two of the Carol Weymuller Open 2024 today as they face the eight winners from round one with quarter final spots up for grabs in the PSA World Tour Bronze event.

Top seed Olivia Weaver will be looking to draw on the home support as she faces Egypt’s Nadine Shahin in the opening match on Court E. Weaver reached the final in last year’s event but will be looking to produce another strong run again this year but go one further and claim the title.

Surprise wildcard winner Min Jie Teh will be hopeful of another upset as she takes on Canada’s Hollie Naughton at 17:45. Naughton will be looking to bounce back after a dissapointing result in the J.P Morgan Tournament of Champions, losing to compatriot Nicole Bunyan. The latter also features on Court E, as she takes on No.3 seed Sarah-Jane Perry in the final match of the night.

On Court W, other surprise round two participant Haya Ali will feature first against England’s Lucy Beecroft. 19-year-old Ali scored an emphatic win over Anna Serme in the previous round but will be up against it as Beecroft is looking to break into the top 20 in this second half of the season.

Egypt’s teenage sensations Malak Khafagy and Fayrouz Aboelkheir will be looking to cause upsets in their respective matches as they face Farida Mohamed and Melissa Alves with quarter final spots available. Both players performed above their levels at the recent Tournament of Champions and will be hopeful of more upsets as they look to climb up the PSA rankings.

Action gets underway from 17:00 across both courts, with action available to watch on SQUASHTV.
