British Open 2024 – Day Six: Preview & How To Watch Live

7 June 2024

The quarter finals of the British Open conclude today with the bottom half of the draw, as eight players battle it out for the last remaining semi final spots.

Play begins at 17:30 (GMT+1) at the Rep Theatre in Birmingham, and squash fans can watch all four matches live on SQUASHTV. Live scores will also be available here.

Hania El Hammamy, who won the event back in 2022, takes on Tinne Gilis in the opening match of the evening in what will be their fourth meeting this season.

The first men’s match of the day pits two-time British Open champion Paul Coll against Malaysia’s Eain Yow Ng, who’s appearing in a quarter final of a Platinum event for the first time since the Egyptian Open three years ago.

Recently crowned World Champion Nouran Gohar comes up against England No.1 Georgina Kennedy, with the home favourite aiming to get her first win on the World Tour against the World No.2.

Timothy Brownell will make history when he steps onto court in the final match of the evening, becoming the first male American player to reach the quarter finals of the British Open after Mohamed ElShorbagy withdrew from the tournament due to illness. Former World No.1 Mostafa Asal stands in Brownell’s way of a place in the semi finals.
