The Grand Sport Armenian Challenger, PSA M5 main draw will see the courts alight with some gruelling battles when the tournament begins on Thursday August 6.

Number one seed Nathan Lake will be hoping to continue the superb form that saw him named as the PSA Player of the Month for May.

The Cheltenham-based 23-year-old stormed to the Keith Granger Memorial Open title, dropping just a single game en-route, and followed that up with the Rathbones Jersey Squash Classic later that month as he swept past the top seeds both times.

He faces Egyptian youngster Youssef Ibrahim Abdallah in the first round with the 16-year-old keen to impress on only his third PSA World Tour appearance after a fine fourth round finish at the recent World Junior Championship.

Mazen Gamal has had a successful first half to 2015 and is one of the frontrunners in Armenia.

Victories at both the Assore Central Gauteng Open and the Western Province Open underlined his title credentials and Sajid Khan stands between the World No.141 and a place in the quarter-final.

With two successive title wins elevating him into third in the current PSA World Tour title-winners list, Jan Koukal is in the midst of some of his best ever form.

He claimed both the 3rd Open Squash Provence Chateau-Arnoux and Madeira International Open Squash titles last month and starts his tournament against Mohammad Jafari.

19-year-old Ismail Rauf also has an outside chance of challenging for the title. The Armenian has only ever appeared in the main draw of a PSA World Tour event once before but will be hoping that his home crowd can cheer him on to victory. He meets Egypt’s Khaled Mostafa in round one.
