Asal, Coll and Crouin on the Rise in Latest Road To Egypt Standings

20 March 2023

Egypt’s Mostafa Asal, New Zealand’s Paul Coll and France’s Victor Crouin have all moved up within the top eight of the men’s Road to Egypt standings following the Canary Wharf Classic last week.

The CIB PSA World Tour Finals includes both a men’s and women’s tournament featuring eight players each and brings together all PSA World Tour Platinum title winners. Any remaining places are allocated to the highest ranked players on the CIB Road to Egypt Standings, with points on offer at all PSA World Tour events during the season.

Asal, who exited in the semi finals in East Wintergarden to Wales’ Joel Makin, moves up one place to third, while 2023 Canary Wharf Classic champion Paul Coll jumps two places to fifth after securing a first tour title since the 2022 British Open.

France’s Victor Crouin, who lost out to rival Asal in the second round, moves up one place to sixth.

With no tour event since the conclusion of the the Black Ball Open, there have been no changes to the women’s Road to Egypt standings.

There are two tour events left to play in March, with the men’s Gold-level Optasia Championships taking place 21-26 March and the Bronze-level Canadian Women’s Open being played 26-30 March.

Action from both tournaments will be shown on SQUASHTV.
