Xbox PSA World Tour Finals – Day One: Preview & How To Watch Live

18 June 2024

The Xbox PSA World Tour Finals 2023/24 get underway today, with eight blockbuster matches coming your way from Bellevue, Seattle.

Day one of action from The Boys and Girls Club Hidden Valley Field House begins at 14:00 (GMT-7). You can watch the first session for free across the PSA World Tour social channels, while you can get 15% off your SQUASHTV monthly pass by using the code WTF15. Click here to get your offer.

In the women’s draw, action from Group B sees World No.3 Hania El Hammamy taking on Nour El Tayeb in the opening match of the day, before defending champion Nouran Gohar and Georgina Kennedy square off against each other again, with Gohar most recently prevailing in their British Open quarter-final meeting.

Matches from Group B will follow in the evening session, with World No.1 Nour El Sherbini facing Nele Gilis, and home favourite Olivia Weaver taking on tournament debutant Tinne Gilis.

Meanwhile, in the men’s event, Mostafa Asal starts his quest for a fourth straight title underway with a tricky-looking encounter against two-time winner Mohamed ElShorbagy. This match looks to be a justified finale to the opening day, with the pair’s 118-minute meeting at the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions hopefully a taste of what is to come. The other match from Group A will see top seed Ali Farag take on 2019 champion Karim Abdel Gawad.

The men’s Group B matches will be played in the afternoon session, with Diego Elias looking to bounce back from his quarter-final exit at the British Open with an opening match against Tarek Momen. The other encounter from this group sees No.2 seed Paul Coll play ‘The Black Falcon’ Mazen Hesham.

All matches from the pool stages will be a best-of-three format, with tie-breaks replaced by sudden death points if the score reaches 10-10.
